The Oxford Handbook of William Wordsworth

Now that the contract is signed, essays are commissioned, and some are even written (!), I can announce formally that Richard Gravil and I are at work co-editing The Oxford Handbook of William Wordsworth. It will be a massive tome and tons of work–but I’m not complaining! We have an amazing lineup of authors and essays. It is an honor to have this opportunity and to work with Richard on this important project.

Should we use the Wordsworth-with-headache portrait as the cover? I always imagine him saying in exasperation, “Oh, Coleridge.”

    An appropriate cover picture for the handbook, I think. It has not been overused. Anxious to read these essays and looking forward to January 2015 and its publication. Thank you!
